Frequently Asked Questions

Q.  Can Dr. Sharninghausen recommend a dog trainer for my new puppy?
A:   Many of our clients have had success working with Angi Lenz and her staff at Tails A Wagging.  Be sure to check out their free puppy pre-kindergarten class for your 9-14 week old puppy.   They also offer a variety of classes for dogs of all ages.
We like to hear from our clients about their local dog training experiences!  Contact us via e-mail or FaceBook at www.facebook.com/vethausen!
Q.  If I find injured wildlife, what should I do?
A:  Call The Whatcom Humane Society at their Wildlife Rehabilitation Center
for orphaned and injured small mammals and birds at  (360) 966-8845.

Detailed information for what to do if you find injured wildlife can also be found on their website at  http://whatcomhumane.org/?wildlife.
Q:  Do I have to euthanize my pet?
A:  No.  If your pet isn't suffering he or she may enjoy being around you until the time comes to pass naturally.  Our veterinarian would be glad to talk more with you about palliative care for your special companion.
